Janel LeGard has provided architectural design services since 1998. She received her Florida Architectural license in 2009. She enjoys providing quality design services to her clients. Her passion for architecture is cultivated and reaffirmed by supporting and implementing the vision of her clients.
Janel obtained her five year accredited Bachelor of Architecture degree from Tuskegee University located in Tuskegee, Alabama in 1996. She also obtained her two year Masters of Construction degree from Auburn University located in Auburn, Alabama in 1998.
Janel is responsible for the development, interpretation, schedule & coordination of all A/E disciplines on multiple projects, as well as being the liaison between construction & A/E ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the project scope. She is responsible for the technical soundness, consistency & quality of project documents.
Janel takes the leadership role for all the projects that she is involved in, sets the expectations early in the project for all disciplines and focuses her efforts on design quality. She uses her clear and direct communication skills to convey important tasks and details to the internal and external design team members and takes the initiative in incorporating key project items such as owner standards, state and local building code requirements and overall good design practice details. When presented with difficult design issues and problems, you can always count on her to identify these issues and present sound solutions.
Janel always founds time to interact with young students, year after year, to share her enthusiasm and “can-do” attitude and encourage them to pursue their dreams, no matter how difficult the journey. Janel has had such a positive impact on so many young students in the ACE (Architecture, Construction and Engineering) Mentoring Program and most recently participating in an Architect Barbie workshop which encourages the next generation of second grade girls to pursue a career in architecture. Janel truly exemplify being a servant leader both at work and in our community.
